Senior Dog Bed - Heated

Picture
Heated Dog Bed
Heated dog beds are the ultimate in comfort for your aging pooch, or even for puppies or after a long winters walk.

It uses 6 watts for the heated cushion, which can be removed to wash the bed.  This bed is for indoors only, so would be great for the cool evenings and when your pooch wants to snuggle and keep warm and dry.

This smart heater will only warm when it feels the pressure of your dog on the bed, so no wasted electricity.

Outdoor Heated Bed

If your dog has always been an outdoor pooch but his joints are stiffening up and he wants to stay outdoors, then consider a heated soft outdoor bed for his kennel such as this one.  It will keep him comfortable and may even put a spring in his step!

Thermostatic Control

Another great heated outdoor bed.  This would also be perfect for the porch, basement, shed, garage or their kennel.  It only comes on when they use it to save electricity.

Indoor or Outdoor

Indoor and Outdoor heating pads..
You don't want to be using your human heating pad, as this will be too hot for your dog.  It is best to get them their very own so that the gentle heat will simply keep them from feeling the cold and damp and not overheat them.

There are many options for your older dog now that will give them great comfort in those senior years.  The trick is to be aware of changes, such as your dog not getting comfy and constantly trying to stand or find a comfy position, especially if he has been out in the cold or damp.

Make sure he has his very own dog towel and dry him off the best you can.  I found as Sasha ages, she doesn't shake all that water off as well after she has been outdoors, so I always give her a good towel dry before she uses her bed.
